A Leighton Buzzard based artist, Sue Erskine-Jones works in various media, but specialises in print. Sue describes herself as a painter and printer of overlooked objects. Sue says :-
“I began my training in South Africa, initially gaining a distinction in printmaking at Natal Technikon before moving to Cape Town where I studied printmaking under Pippa Skotness at Micheallis, University of Cape Town. Since moving to the UK I studied a further year at Amersham College, Buckinghamshire, concentrating on painting, for which I received a distinction.I continue to work in both printmaking and painting. I’m inspired by my immediate environment, although the early impressions and emotional memories of the South African Cape still strongly influence my work.”
The evening is free to LBAS members and £6.00 per person for non-members, payable at the door.
