Out on tour with Hadley on 26 October, performing in cities across Europe including Berlin, Hamburg, Copenhagen and Luxembourg, among others. The experience, he says, has been a defining moment.
“The tour with Tony has been one of the highlights of my music career,” Nolan said. “I’ve been playing in auditoriums and theatres all over Europe. Both the crew and Tony have been incredible. Living with the guys and the day-to-day has been so much fun.”
Nolan and Hadley first met three to four years ago, shortly after the COVID-19 lockdowns. Impressed by Nolan’s songwriting and vocals, Hadley introduced him to producer Gary Stevenson, known for his work with Go West, ABC and Rick Astley. The partnership has resulted in a completed album and the upcoming launch of Nolan’s first single.
“I am hugely proud of my first release, One to Blame, and can’t wait to hear what people think,” Nolan said.
He credits Hadley with playing a significant role in his artistic development. “Tony has been a huge help on every level. He gives me guidance with my voice and performance. Sometimes I’ll see him at the side of the stage watching, and afterwards he’ll give me pointers on how to chat to the crowd and how to best deliver my vocals.”
Nolan added that Hadley’s generosity extends beyond the stage. “He is truly one of the kindest and most talented people in music. After every show he takes the time to sign and take selfies with fans who have waited outside. I’ve seen him in the rain for an hour signing autographs and saying goodbye to everyone.”
One to Blame marks Nolan’s first commercial release as he continues to shape his debut album, with further music expected to follow.
