Seagrove and Crowe hit the bottle in Coward comedy classic

Noël Coward’s sparkling comedy Fallen Angels comes to Northampton’s Royal stage from Monday in its first revival since it was a champagne cork-popping hit in the West End just over a decade ago.

Or rather, pop open the champagne! As each successive glass of liquid courage is imbibed, tongues start to loosen, hidden jealousies surface, the claws come out, and all attempts at demure behaviour go out the window.

However, it’s not until the unexpected early return of their golfing husbands, that the women’s evening really hits its frenzied peak.
