Thousands raised for charities at masked ball

Amanda Cook, 26, of Dunstable, organised the event to help two charities close to her heart.

The health care assistant said: “Both charities do fantastic work! The Alzheimer’s Society not only helps with research and trying to find a cure but also giving much needed support to sufferers and their families.

“Keech truly do amazing things for people and need the funds to enable them to keep providing the magnificent care they give.”

The masked ball was held at Woburn Safari Lodge and the money raised will be split between the two charities.

Amanda said: “The masquerade ball was a huge success and Woburn Safari was an amazing venue.

“There was so much generosity shown for this event, pro photo booths auctioned their services for the event and Gold Radio’s Tony Dibbin hosted the evening.

“I want to thank everyone who helped make this event a success and raise so much money for the charities.”
