Shops were awarded marks for their use of products displayed within the windows, the incorporation of a winter theme and the percentage of their shopfront incorporated within the display.
A final set of marks was also awarded to the impact which the display had on passers-by.
Scoring highly throughout, the judges awarded first place to Happydashery, second place to Wilde Flower Boutique and third place to Selections. Upon hearing their winning news, Carrie and Sarah from Happydashery said: “We are absolutely over the moon to have won the competition for the Best Dressed Shop Window.

“We knew we wanted to go as Christmassy as we could this year after being closed for so long. We were lucky enough to be able to work with Lettered By Annie who helped us to bring our ideas to life on the window with her beautiful lettering.
“Huge thanks to Leighton-Linslade Town Council for running this competition, it was such a great idea and good fun to get involved!”
The competition was organised by the council as part of the town centre ‘Welcome Back’ campaign following the initial national lockdown earlier this year. It also coincided with the re-opening of shops following the November lockdown.
