20th anniversary Brains of Leighton Buzzard quiz masters crowned
Gary Baldy & Chums secured the converted title of Brains of Leighton Buzzard with a nail biting contest just beating off the challenge of the Stag & local Wingnuts.
With 30 plus teams turning out for this years Brains of Leighton Buzzard Quiz the 20th Anniversary of the event was a night to showcase the intellectual talent in the town and raise valuable charitable funds. This years beneficiaries were primarily the Ollie Foundation and Rotary’s Neighbourhood Defibrillator Scheme and with a vibrant raffle, tombola and auction both causes will gain from the participants generous donations.
A Rotary spokesperson said: "The Brains of Leighton Buzzard Quiz is a special event on the Rotary calendar and over the years many charities have benefited from the funds raised and we are delighted that the 20th Anniversary was no different."
"We would like to acknowledge all the support we receive with a special shout out to our caterer Sarah Edwards, Cedars School for the Premises and Oak Bank Schools D&T department for producing the very elegant awards."
