Yes We Can footballers get early Christmas presents

Pan Disability Football continues to thrive in South West Bedfordshire thanks to the dynamic partnership between Leighton Park Rangers and the Rotary “Yes We Can” inclusive sports programme.
An early visit from Santa means the teams have brand new kit for 2026 which Rotary President Chris Roberts was delighted to hand out at the last training session before the holidays.
Thanks to a £800 donation from the Rotary Foundation and some long distance sponsored running by Coach Richard Hird and YWC participant Joe Langdon, both the junior and adult teams were presented with new football kit for 2026. As in previous years the geography of Leighton Buzzard is woven into the shirts fabric which gives all the players a real sense of belonging.
Rotary spokesman Richard Johnson OBE said ”The unique collaboration between Leighton Park Rangers and the Rotary “Yes We Can” programme has lead to a pan disability football programme that delivers weekly for over 30 participants and which see its two adult teams regularly play competitive tournament football. With the contribution of Rotary Foundation and the log distance running achievements of lead coach Richard Hird & Joe Langdon it was wonderful for Rotary’s President Chris Roberts & LPR Chairman Nick Pinder to present new kit and set up 2026 to be a bumper year”
