The Rushmere Park Academy is having a wonderful autumn term so far, welcoming some of their youngest learners into nursery and reception class as they start their journey through education.

The school - close to the town centre of Leighton Buzzard – is the perfect place for young people to learn, grow, develop and to be inspired with ideas for their own futures.

As one group of the newest learners is settling in, the school is already thinking ahead to 2024 and is keen to talk to parents considering the best choice for their children’s education.

Meanwhile, as this year has got underway, there has been a tremendously positive vibe.

The school is always warm and welcoming

Principal Jonathan Callender says: “As a single form entry school, staff get to know the children very well.

“We have really enjoyed seeing current reception pupils grow in confidence and flourish after only two months of being in school.

“The close family feel at the school is always warm and welcoming, and families feel well supported during their time.”

Mr Callender adds: “We are a caring school committed to promoting a happy, secure and stimulating environment; so our pupils can develop their full academic, physical, emotional and spiritual potential.”

Classes explore the outdoors

The school boasts large playing fields and plenty of natural areas for the children to explore during their day.

The outdoor learning area has recently been renovated and set up with natural resources with which pupils love to engage.

Classes spend as much time learning and exploring the outdoor area as they do inside the classroom.

This means that both nursery and school reception classes are busy hives of activity throughout the day.

In the nursery, Nursery Manager Annette Martyn says that The Rushmere Park Academy is “passionate about learning, devoting our time to create a fun and loving setting, which delivers the best in nursery education”.

Ask about seeking a nursery place in 2024

“Our ethos is shared with the school, which is to focus on the whole child, meeting their individual needs through positive and motivating experiences that will, in turn, play a major role in your child’s future learning and development.”

Any parents making the decision on their child’s school for September 2024 are encouraged to contact the school office on 01525 372096.

School Principal, Mr Jonathan Callender and Deputy Head teacher Miss Viv Capron, are available to welcome parents and give a tour of the entire school.

If parents are seeking nursery places for their children aged between two and four years, tours can also be arranged with the nursery team via the school office on 01525 372096.
