Coronavirus latest: 152 new cases in Central Bedfordshire today

152 new coronavirus infections have been confirmed in Central Bedfordshire over the past 24 hours, according to figures from Public Health England.

The total number of cases in the district now stands at 11,263 (+152).

Seven new deaths (within 28 days of a positive test) have also been reported in Central Beds today, with 387 in total since the pandemic began

The case rate in Central Beds is now 549.8 per 100,000.

Elsewhere in the county, Luton has 13,727 (+195) cases while Bedford's figure is at 9,470 (+231).

There have been 3,260,258 lab-confirmed cases across the UK, up by a daily rise of 48,682.

86,015 deaths have been recorded within 28 days of a positive test, up by 1,248 today.
