The video which can be viewed on the Leighton Buzzard school’s YouTube channel, features a guest appearance by Denise Nolan from the Nolan Sisters.
Jenny Beckwith, director of music at Brooklands, and Michelle Tipper, came up with the idea after seeing an online choir on BBC’s The One Show.

“I quickly got to work creating the backing track. Once this was ready I asked students and staff to send me videos of them singing a line or the chorus which I then edited the sound and visual to make it fit in time.
“We had a great response from the video and I was very proud as it was tricky to get the voices in time but it was worth every second to see the final product and to hear so many of our students and families enjoying it.
“We have a lot of students with key workers and even some front line workers in their family and we thought that this would be a wonderful opportunity to thank especially our NHS for everything they are doing to save so many lives while putting their own at risk.

“It took three weeks to edit and put together and we were even lucky enough to have Denise Nolan sing a chorus for us which was beautiful. I am so proud of our school and this video just shows what a wonderful community spirit Brooklands Middle School has.”
