Group marks its birthday with Holiday
OK, the am-dram group isn’t actually leaving Ashton Square for a vacation – that would take a fair bit of organisation.
Instead they are celebrating in the way they know best – with a large- scale musical production.

Summer Holiday will be the society’s 103rd show and its third outing into the musical genre – previous offerings were Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and The Sound Of Music.
It takes to the stage at The Square Methodist Church next week – on Friday, October 14, and Saturday, October 15, at 7.30pm.
The cast – aged 16 to 60 – are rehearsing hard to make it a sensational show.

Hide AdCast member Tammy Sussams told Curtain Call: “I would describe us as a large family, we rise to every challenge and jump in to any role that needs to be performed, not only on stage but front of house, stage building and gathering costumes and props.
“We are a very inclusive group and have no membership or show fee so rely on our audiences to keep our group going.
“We welcome all new members and some of our newest members are on stage this month.
“So put on your dancing shoes and sing along to lots of well-known and loved tunes and make this Summer Holiday the hottest ticket in town.”
