Group spokesman David Sachon said: “TADS Theatreis a great place to get to knowShakespeare.

“The intimate, in-theround staging in TADS’ atmospheric little theatreencourages greater audienceengagement, and a sense of closeness often not available from a more conventional staging.”

And as Romeo and Juliet is so widely studied in local schools, students attending the show on Thursdays will be able to attend a pre-show talk by the director and her cast, and will be given a copy of the director’s notes on request.

This year marks the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death and several organisations across the country have been organising events to mark the occasion.
