Andrew brings musical comedy to Linslade

After starting his musical life as a chorister at All Saints, Andrew North returns to Leighton-Linslade for a concert by his duo 2.4.1 at St Barnabas, Linslade, at 7pm on Saturday, March 4.

Since his days as an angelic choirboy Andrew has been an Army musician, a teacher and after graduating at Vicar School he is now Curate at Mulbarton in Norfolk.

Playing a wide range of instruments 2.4.1 are a Christian musical comedy duo who like to see the lighter side of Church and beyond! Their blend of original songs, reworked hymn tunes, alongside a couple of classic songs make for an act which will have you chuckling all the way home! Alan Kirkland is the versatile other member of the duo.

The interdenominational observational songs of 2.4.1 range from church issues such as: ‘The problems with Revival’, ‘The Faith Tea’ and ‘Action Songs’, through to secular things such as ‘Mobile Phones’, ‘Little Brothers’ or ‘Football Club Rivalries.’

Richard Watts, the organist of St Barnabas, said: “It will be a great pleasure to welcome Andrew back to his hometown where he was a chorister during my time as organist of All Saints.

“Andrew visited us in May 2014 before ordination as a Deacon last year and he will be ordained Priest in Norwich Cathedral on July 1st.”
