Blistering achievement as Iain is part of Jeff Stelling's challenge

Prostate Cancer UK’s Director of Research, Iain Frame, of Ivinghoe Aston, joined the intrepid TV host on two legs of the journey as Jeff completed 10 marathons in 10 days, from boyhood club Hartlepool United to Wembley between March 21-30.

Iain, 55, accompanied Jeff twice during the 262-mile Men United March in aid of Prostate Cancer UK – from York to Leeds (on March 22) and the penultimate day, March 29, from Luton to Watford.

Keen walker Iain said: “I somehow landed myself two of the longest legs on Jeff’s March from Hartlepool to Wembley, including the Luton to Watford leg on Day 9.

“But the blisters were truly worth it –I’ve met some amazing people with amazing stories to tell about their experiences of prostate cancer.

“It puts my work into perspective and brings home why the money and awareness raised through this epic challenge will be life-altering to the men, such as those we met on the march.

“Although a tough challenge, it also gave me the opportunity to walk through different parts of the UK and get to know people from different places. I’m a keen walker and am always glad to get out and explore more.

“Having said that, I still think Jeff and Russ [Hartlepool United chief executive, Russ Green]are crazy to have done 10 marathons in 10 days! That’s a few miles too many for me.”

En-route, Jeff was joined by famous friends and colleagues and people affected by prostate cancer.
