Breaking news: Roads around Leighton Buzzard have now reopened
A road in Leighton Buzzard town centre has been closed as police investigate reports of a suspicious package.
Bedfordshire Police was alerted at approximately 8.10am today (Friday) to the incident in Hockliffe Street.
The road has been closed and some properties in both Hockliffe Street and North Street are currently being evacuated as a precaution while investigations take place.
The explosive ordnance disposal team have been informed.
