Countdown to Linslade Canal Festival


It’s taking place at Tiddenfoot Waterside Park on Saturday (July 30) from 11am to 5pm.
A sponsored Fun Dog Show is a new addition with seven amusing categories including ‘waggiest tail.’

There’s also an opportunity to get up close and personal at the birds of prey display.
No festival is coplete without music and there are toe-tapping performances from folk duo Chasm, Hemlock Morris, Halfmoon Drum Circle, Keith Bradbury & Friend and Last of the Summer Ukes.
Visitors will be able to browse numerous handcraft and trade stalls promoting arts and crafts, cottage industries, life on the canal, conservation and heritage.

Hide AdLittlies are also well catered for with a kids’ mini car hire, wriggly reptiles and tradtional children’s fun fair.


And no need to bring a picnic as a variety of vendors will be tempting festival-goers with a selection of mouth-watering dishes from around the world, plus barbecues, cakes and ice cream.
Walk down the tow ath and you’ll find numerous colourful narrow boats selling everything from cheese to jewellery and Spanish tapas.
Pedestrian admission to the festival is free. Car parking is available a short walk away and costs £4 a vehicle. There’s a charge of £2 for blue badge holders with free transport to the event for the less mobile.
