Detectives have made a fifth arrest following an incident in Little Billington on Wednesday (May 20) which left three men seriously injured.

Officers were called at around 2.20pm to reports of a serious disturbance outside a property on Gipsy Lane. Three men were taken to hospital, where they remain in a stable condition.

A man in his 20s was arrested in Oxford on Saturday (May 23) on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the incident.

Four people – two men in their 50s, an 18-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman – were arrested last week on suspicion of the same offence, and have since been bailed with strict conditions while inquiries continue.

Detective Inspector Scott Fowler said: “This remains a fast-moving investigation, and we are continuing to pursue all lines of inquiry to establish the full circumstances of what happened.

“We are also maintaining a visible police presence in the area to support and reassure the community, and would still like to hear from anyone who may have information that could assist our inquiries.

“In particular, we’re encouraging anyone who was in the Slapton Road area between 1.45pm and 3.15pm, and who may have seen anything suspicious or have CCTV or dashcam footage, to contact us.

“We are especially keen to identify any footage showing a black Volkswagen Golf, a white Citroen Berlingo, or a white Ford Transit in the area at that time.”
