Police officer from Leighton Buzzard accused of causing woman's death released on bail
A police officer facing a death by careless driving charge, in connection with the death of a woman in Aylesbury, has been released on bail.
PC Philip Duthie, 41, from Leighton Buzzard, has been released on bail until May 26 following a hearing at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Monday.

Duthie was charged with one count of causing death by careless driving in connection with the death of Kimberley Cameron.
Kimberley, who was aged 27, was jogging across part of the A41 Bicester Road in Aylesbury on April 16, 2021, when she was involved in a collision with a police vehicle.
Westminster Magistrates' Court heard that the vehicle was being driven on the wrong side of the road at 60mph in a 40mph zone when the incident occurred.
It was previously confirmed by the Independent Office for Police Conduct that Kimberley died at the scene. An inquest, held in 2022, concluded that she died as a result of injuries suffered during a road traffic collision.
When Duthie was formally charged Thames Valley Police said in a statement: “The force’s thoughts remain with the family and friends of Kimberley Cameron, and all those affected by this incident.”
Kimberley’s family said in tribute to their daughter following her passing in 2021: “She was a truly remarkable, independent young woman, who, despite having Type 1 diabetes lived every day to the full and never let it define who she was.”
