Police are investigating reports of damage to fences near a popular nature reserve in Dunstable.

Between 11am and 3pm on Friday, April 2, a three-metre section of the fence, which borders private land adjacent to the Totternhoe nature reserve, was removed.

Police are keen to speak to cyclists who were seen in the area at the time and who may have information.

PC Sarah Warren, from Bedfordshire Police’s Crime Investigation Team, said: “This act of vandalism has caused damage to the boundary, and we are keen to understand why and trace those responsible.

“We are keen to speak to the cyclists pictured as they may have valuable information which may help our enquiries.

“If you have seen anyone acting suspiciously in this area, please get in touch.”
