Woman held over Syria terror offences
A 25-year-old woman, from London, has been arrested at Luton Airport on suspicion of Syria-related terror offences, police have said.
West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit arrested the woman today (Wednesday, December 31) at around 11:30am as she disembarked a flight from Istanbul in Turkey.
The arrest was part of an ongoing intelligence-led policing operation.
The woman, from Haringey, is being held at a police station in the West Midlands on suspicion of preparing acts of terrorism.
