Don’t forget about the rail engineering works this weekend

Engineering works means that there will be no rail services over the Easter bank holiday weekend between Northampton, Milton Keynes and London Euston.

On Friday, Saturday and Monday trains between Euston and Northampton will not run. Replacement buses will operate between Watford Junction and Hemel Hempstead, and between Hemel Hempstead and Watford Junction/Edgware (the London Underground station). Passengers are advised to travel on London Overground trains between London Euston and Watford Junction, or via the London Underground from Edgware to Central London, allowing approximately 45 minutes journey time. A special half-hourly train service will run between Hemel Hempstead and Northampton

On Sunday, trains between London Euston and Birmingham New Street/Crewe will run between Northampton and Birmingham New Street/Crewe only. Until 10am, replacement buses will operate between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central/Northampton ,and after 10am replacement buses will operate between London Euston and Hemel Hempstead, Milton Keynes Central and Northampton, with a special hourly train service running between Hemel Hempstead and Milton Keynes.

From Friday to Monday, buses will replace trains between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey.

Throughout the four days, Virgin’s intercity services will start and terminate at Milton Keynes and Rugby.

The Marston Vale Line between Bedford and Bletchley will run as usual on Friday and Saturday, but does not operate on Sundays or Bank Holiday Mondays.
