Linslade artist Anna Kidman has the answer to your problem - a series of art classes aimed at all abilities but designed to develop each student’s self esteem and creativity.

Anna, 45, of Station Road says: “Confidence is often the biggest block to making art and I will work with each student to build their skills and interests.

“The classes will be friendly, professional and use the most up-to-date teaching. They’ll draw on the traditional, modern and contemporary and I’ll also support those who simply want to come to relax and have some fun.”

The former Cedars Upper pupil believes that Leighton Buzzard’s amenities and cultural activities aren’t keeping pace with its rapidly increasing population.

She says: “There are craft and pottery classes in the town and art classes in the surrounding villages, but nothing in the town itself – which I find shocking and pretty absymal, if I’m honest.

“It would be good to begin to change that. And, longer term, I’d love to help visual arts become a more accessible part of life in the town.”

Anna describes her new venture as “scary but exciting” and adds: “I’m hoping teaching will complement my own art making and bring something to the town that isn’t currently here.”
