Hide AdThe video – narrated by Christine England – charts the history of the three and a quarter mile Bedfordshire section of the Grand Union Canal which was opened in May 1800.
It starts at the winding hole or turning point in Linslade and wends its way past the Leighton Lock (which is actually in Linslade), the elipitical arches of Twelve Arches Weir, Faulkner’s Wharf and Tiddenfoot Waterside Park, once a busy sand quarry and now an oasis for wildlife. It ends by inviting viewers to come and see the area for themselves.
