Margaret Cameron Lines will be president of the Institute for the next three years,

Heath and Reach is the largest WI in Bedfordshire with 127 members, they meet once a month at the Royal British Legion Hall on a Wednesday morning.

Maggie has lived in the village for forty years, she works as a host and entertainer at Champneys Henlow Grange and as a bar steward/usher at the Leighton Buzzard Library Theatre.

Maggie said: “Because we are so big, people often only know one or two people.

“I would like everyone within the Institute to be involved as a group and therefore make friends and feel part of the WI.

“I want to make it for the whole village, not just our members.

“We should hold more events within the village and our first venture will be the village party on June 4.”
