The former Geordie Shore stalwart will host a Meet & Greet event at The Lancer in Lake Street on Saturday, March 26.

Tickets cost £5 and all profits will go to Macmillan to help their fight against cancer.

They’re available from the bar and the event is strictly over 18 – ID will be required for admittance.

Jay, 28, left the series in 2012 and dabbled in a fake tan business and a bar in Sunderland.

He hopes to launch himself as a personal trainer this year.

> Leighton Linslade Cancer Support Group holds weekly Friday morning meetings from 10.30am to 12.30pm at the Salvation Army Hall in Lammas Walk.

It provides support to anyone over 18 who has had a cancer diagnosis.

A spokeswoman said: “We offer a safe, secure and sociable environment where members can share their journey or put it to one side and make new friends.”
