But it will cost £144,000 to support adults, children and their families over the 12 days of Christmas, so the charity is launching a special Yuletide appeal.

Corporate fundraiser Laura Ansell said: “Please put a smile on our children’s faces and help support them and their families through the utter devastation of having a sick child, particularly at this time of the year.”
She added: “We’ve produced a 12 days of Christmas calendar and we’re asking local businesses and community groups to pin it to their notice boards and select their favourite challenge. Or, even better, aim to complete all 12 for the 12 days of Christmas.

“Either way, please remember Keech this Christmas - we need your support now more than ever.”

This annual event is a real crowdpuller, in addition to being an important fundraiser.

It costs £15 each for adults to enter and £7.50 a for child. The fee includes something festive to wear, as well as that all-important goodie bag at the end.
