Penny drops that new bargain store will see prices rise
But the bargain hunters of Leighton Buzzard will be having less shrapnel rattling around in their pockets if they’re regulars at one town centre premises.

Hide AdThat’s because on February 6, Leighton’s 99p Stores shop reopened as Poundland!
A spokesman for Poundland said: “We are pleased to announce that a new store in Leighton Buzzard opened on the 6th February 2016. The new store is part of the company’s 99p conversion, following the buy-out in 2015.”
The spokesman failed to comment on what would change following the transformation of the former Woolworths building – apart from the name and the penny price hike.
