Advance Theatre Company’s virtual concert helps to raise £1k for Leighton-Linslade Helpers Fund

The online show was to raise money for the Leighton-Linslade Helpers fund in order to support its volunteers who carry out vital work in the community.

The concert was streamed from YouTube as a live premiere and has now been viewed over 1,000 times, with people tuning in from as far away as New Zealand and Thailand.

Highlights of the evening included a moving rendition of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ by the whole company, and duets and solos from members old and new. Audience members thought the concert was “enjoyable, uplifting, and entertaining”.

One viewer described it as: “A touch of the West End”, while another said the concert was: “Exactly what we need right now!”

With the support of the virtual concert, the Leighton-Linslade Helpers fundraiser has now received over £1,000.
