Can you help plug the gaps in the hunt for Leighton-Linslade Carnival missing royalty photographs?

Next year sees the 60th carnival since it was revived by the late Peter Lymbery and Leighton Youth Club in 1962 and provisional plans are being prepared already for July 10.

It is hoped that a procession might be possible which would meet whatever Covid rules could be in place at that point. An event in Parson's Close Recreation Ground for a number of people would also be the intention.

For now, carnival committee chairman Mark Freeman is reviewing old photos in readiness for the 60th event and is hoping to plug a number of gaps in the archive concerning images of former carnival royalty.
