A woman from Eaton Bray has created colouring personalised village colouring pages to keep children busy during the coronavirus lockdown.

Bekki Tomkins, director of Leighton Buzzard based web and design agency Aubergine 262 Ltd, came up with the idea to create a colouring page for her village a couple of weekends ago after the government had announced school closures and the lockdown.

"I started with some Eaton Bray and Edlesborough colouring pages and posted a link on our local Facbook page, so that anyone could download a pdf and print out the pages.

"Pretty soon I was getting requests to include other local villages and towns."

Being the director of a web and design agency, it gave Bekki the platform to create a blog article which the general public could visit and download their colouring pages.

She added: "Since the word has spread, we've have been taking requests for more villages and towns and so far have done around 50.

"It's keeping me very busy and as I'm still working full-time, I can only work on this project in my spare time but the huge response we've had from parents makes it all worth it.

"It's lovely to see the coloured-in pages in people's windows around our local village."
