Have your say on updated proposals for Grand Union Canal Transfer project

People are being asked for their views with the opening of Phase Two of a public consultation on the Grand Union Canal Transfer scheme.

The project is a vital scheme to bring water from the Midlands to the Southeast to secure future drinking water suppliers, protect the environment, ensuing future water availability for canal navigation and unlock investment for local communities.

The consultation was launched on February 11 and runs to 11.59pm on Thursday, April 2.

The scheme is a joint water transfer project between Severn Trent and Affinity Water, and the Canal & River Trust, owner and navigation authority of the canals in England and Wales.
