Here's why you might see Judge Dredd in Leighton Buzzard on Red Nose Day
Help the Judge to Raise money for Comic Relief
A man from Leighton Buzzard will be dressing as Judge Dredd tomorrow (Friday) to raise money for Comic Relief.
Steve Bennett, who has taken part in RetroPlay - the town's movie, gaming and comic festival - will be wearing his Judge cosplay all day on Red Nose Day and is asking others to do the same.
He has set a target of raising £500 for Comic Relief.
He said: "This Red Nose Day, I’m fundraising for Comic Relief by wearing my Judge cosplay all day and asking others to do the same and get others to make contributions here.
"When you donate to Comic Relief, you’re supporting people living incredibly tough lives, in the UK and around the world.
"Our vision is to create a just world free from poverty and we’re doing this by funding amazing organisations doing amazing things.
"What would be really good would be if other judges do so as well and get people to pay into the just giving page for us wearing our Judge gear so that we the Judges can do our bit and actually have an excuse to wear the costume.
"My plan is to do whatever I do that day in my Judge gear and post photos - and that includes shopping and the school run. So what can you do to join in?
"Firstly, you can put your costume on when you get up, wear it whatever you do and where ever you go that day and post photos and videos online all day.
"If you send people the link they can donate.
"Let's encourage more people to get involved and do the same!"
