Residents can spot the three-sided, digitally enabled GoGoVision van this weekend as it promotes videos and visual messages in celebration of the town's entrepreneurs.

Working alongside local small business representatives, Leighton-Linslade Town Council is continuing the celebration of this year’s Small Business Saturday, which will be held tomorrow (December 5).

It follows on from the successful and engaging Small Business Saturday national campaign virtual 'bus tour' visit to the town, which took place on Tuesday, so the town council is sticking to the theme of a touring vehicle - except, this time, it is a real vehicle designed to attract attention!

“The message cannot be clearer, we have some brilliant, entrepreneurial small businesses in our town and this is the time not just to celebrate them but to remind our residents that they can buy locally”, said Cllr Amanda Dodwell, Chair of the Cultural and Economic Services Committee overseeing the work. “The variety and quality of local services and products is simply vast. This van will certainly catch your eye with that message.”

Some local entrepreneurs have recorded themselves introducing their business, and these videos, along with other promotional messages, will be uploaded onto the sides of the digital van.

The van will be in the High Street for some of the time today, as well as being driven around the town and in neighbouring towns. The van will continue promoting the town on Saturday with a route around the locality.

This is a continuation from adverts that were paid for by the Town Council on the side of buses driven around the locality earlier in July and August.

The digital van will drive around to make sure the message about Leighton Buzzard and Linslade’s businesses attract attention, visits to the town, and more importantly, customer engagement with our local shops and services.
