Murder mystery evening in Leighton Buzzard to support mayor's charities

Leighton-Linslade Mayor David Bowater hopes to make a killing for good causes when he hosts a virtual murder mystery evening on Friday, June 26.

The mystery - called The Curse of Queen Nefertiti’s Necklace - starts at 6.30pm via Zoom.

Those taking part will be able to view footage of the crime scene and the suspects and gather clues to unravel puzzles to help solve the crime. There will be live actors who will give further clues and guidance.

Tickets cost £20 per household and all profits will go the mayor’s chosen charities: MNDA, Hospice at Home Volunteers and Rotary Club of Leighton-Linslade’s Yes We Can project.

Meanwhile, Cllr Bowater would like to support members of the public with free face visors.

Collection is from The White House, Hockliffe Street which will be open (collection point only) on Saturday and Tuesday from 9am – 1pm and on Thursday from 4pm – 6pm.

The visors are free but if you wish to make donation towards the Mayor’s charities you may on day of collection. Full safety measures will be in place.
