Following the success of various ‘Zoom’ meetings, members have concluded that there is a way for theatre groups to continue being creative.
Jo Taylor, who directed last year’s ‘Red Riding Hood’ said: “Our drama group wanted to continue to have fun together, as well as entertain our loyal panto audience.

The storyline, (very) loosely based on the traditional storyline of Robin Hood, features Hood’s Merry Men on furlough and the wicked Sheriff of Nottingham dictating new rules – Wash Your Hands – Pay Your Taxes – Or Get a Smack in the Gob.
“We don’t want to focus on the negative of the pandemic and we appreciate that it has hit some people hard,” said Jo. “But at the same time we are looking to keep the spirit of panto alive whilst gently poking fun at the situation we find ourselves in right now.”
And how will this show be produced? The group will be rehearsing over Zoom during November with the final rehearsal being recorded and going out live across social media (Facebook and YouTube) just before Christmas.
