Sauna and contrast therapy coming to Leighton Buzzard
A new sauna and ‘ice plunge’ will be opening its doors for Leighton Buzzard residents this summer.
Tania Gull, 29, along with her business partners, is currently working hard at Bury Farm Equestrian Centre to bring The Barn Recovery to life.

The business will offer 'contrast therapy', including traditional sauna, infrared, steam and plunge (ice bath) treatments – and the team hope to welcome their first customers this August.
Tania said: "I've been wanting to do this for years and years, it's a burning excitement.
"Finally, people will be able to have contrast therapy and enjoy the benefits of it.
"It's not just a business, it's everything I've been through personally – I know that people will reap the benefits."
Tania, who has lived in Slapton for over 20 years, works as a successful fitness instructor for Elevate.
However, despite being in good health, she found herself in a dark place a couple of years ago.
Tania said: "I got into contrast therapy because I was living in a fast-paced world and needed to slow down. I was struggling – constantly feeling bloated, and stressed over the smallest of things.
"As a woman it was hard, not to feel like yourself in your own body. I constantly felt uncomfortable. It affected my confidence, my personality, my home life."
Tania decided to give contrast therapy a go – the act of moving between heat exposure (a sauna or slightly cooler infrared sauna) and cold exposure, such as an ice bath.
The cold therapy in particular enabled Tania to focus on her breathwork, as it takes away the shock of the water.
She added: "The benefits are phenomenal. I came out feeling like a new person. The cold therapy gives you that adrenaline, and then leaves you feeling so calm."
There are many advantages of contrast therapy, as it can help your cardiovascular system, lymphatic system, and your nervous system, says Tanya.
"It helps your muscles, your mindset, building resilience and strength. It helps your whole body," she added.
The Barn Recovery is in close proximity to town – five minutes from ‘the McDonald's roundabout’ – so Tania hopes that customers can easily build some TLC into their schedules.
People will be able to pay as they go, while there will also be a coffee area and additional treatments, including pressure boots and massages. There will also be some private rooms to book – "perfect for couples, friends or mums and daughters."
Tania concluded: "I'm very, very excited to bring this to Leighton Buzzard. This is what means the most to me. I hope to create a community here where people get to know each other."
Tania's fellow business partners are her fiancé Christian Hollett, and their close friends, husband and wife team Ryice and Anita Keating.
