Josephine Allison took part in the Big Snail Count which challenged entrants to capture the most weird and wonderful slugs and snails of the UK.

Categories included Smallest Snail, Largest Slug Or Snail, and Most Unusual Location, while Josephine scooped won £150 for winning both Weirdest Looking Slug Or Snail and Smallest Slug.

Josephine, who lives in Little Brickhill and has always had a love for nature, said: “I entered the competition because I enjoy a challenge in life, plus all the family joined in hunting for snails and slugs in my garden.

“I was excited when I found the small slug on top of my dustbin and the weirdest under some leaves in a dark damp part of the garden. My grandsons joined me in the hunt and we all enjoyed looking for them together.”

The competition was judged by experts at Digital Photographer magazine.
