Rail assault in early hours of the morning

A commuter was taken to A&E after being assaulted on a train in the early hours of the morning.

The 41-year-old victim was travelling in a first class carriage on the 11.24pm service from London to Northampton on Friday, November 14. Throughout the journey, a man and a woman were talking to various passengers within the carriage.

As the train pulled into Milton Keynes at 12.20am the man assaulted the victim, causing a cut underneath his left eye which required treatment at A&E.

The attacker was white, about 5ft 11in, in his late twenties and wore a T-shirt with horizontal stripes and dark denim jeans. He was with a white woman, about 5ft 3ins, of slim build, with shoulder-length dark hair. She was wearing a khaki jacket and denim jeans and was carrying a handbag.
