Second earthquake in one day for Leighton-Linslade as 2.1-magnitude tremor hits town

Leighton-Linslade has been struck by yet another earthquake, as a 2.1-magnitude tremor hit the town this afternoon.

The movement happened at 1.39pm with a depth of 10 km, and was smaller than this morning's tremor which had a magnitude of 3.0 and a depth of 10 km.

The British Geological Survey is now appealing for residents to complete a 'felt report' in order to help its seismologists, which you can access via Twitter: @BritGeoSurvey.

The BGS has also posted the following message to social media: "One of the latest reports is noted as saying 'apparently we had another earthquake today in Leighton Buzzard at about 13.40. I didn’t feel it downstairs, but my husband did in the loft.'"
