Shoppers' donations raise hundreds for Leighton Linslade Cancer Support Group

Leighton Linslade Cancer Support Group raised Â£374.55 in donations when they did a collection outside Morrisons.

Leighton Linslade Cancer Support Group raised money for the charity outside Morrisons

Members of the group met with shoppers and spoke to them about the group and what it does for people, from Monday, March 7, to Sunday, March 13.

Katharine Smith, Community Champion for Morrisons, said: “We would like to say thank you to our customers for supporting this local charity and raising over £300.”

The group meets weekly at The Salvation Army Hall, Lammas Walk, and offers support to anyone over the age of 18, who have received a cancer diagnosis.

Members can share their experiences and meet new people.
