“We have been doing this for nearly 20 years and our stall is often first port of call for those looking for a bargain on May Day,” said Terry Warburton, Appeal Director of the Trust.

He added: “Nearly everyone receives presents which are perhaps, not quite what was needed and then the question is what to do with them?

“Here’s the answer, give them to us in their manufacturer’s packaging, and we will recycle your gift!

“All profits on the stall help us to help with the repair and maintenance of Leighton Buzzard’s oldest and finest building.”

Dillamore Furnishers in the High Street have once again agreed to receive any gifts and they can be dropped in any time the shop is open.

“But please no bric-a-brac or used items, we cannot sell these on the stall” added Mr Warburton.
