Weekly Stables round-up

THE Stables will be treated to a performance from a true musical legend this weekend, as four-time Grammy Award-winning Larry Carlton takes to the stage on Sunday (July 1).

The 64-year-old guitar great broke onto the scene in 1968 with his recording of With A Little Help From My Friends and has enjoyed a long, successful career since then.

He has worked with Steely Dan, Joni Mitchell, Michael Jackson, Sammy Davis Jr, Quincy Jones, Billy Joel and Dolly Parton among many others, and has been nominated for no fewer than 19 Grammies along the way.

He went on to perform with the multi-platinum supergroup The Crusaders, setting a standard for artistry that spans three decades.
