New boss John Still is continuing to remodel his squad and defenders Lathaniel Rowe-Turner and Simon Ainge, keeper Dean Brill and striker Rendell were told the news by the boss following Thursday night’s 2-0 victory over Ebbsfleet United.
All have played a part in recent games for the Hatters, but Still has deemed them surplus to requirements, while he is yet to reach decisions on another couple of players.
Still told lutontown.co.uk: “We’ve made four of the squad available for transfer because in our current situation we’d like to bring some more players in.
“It’s unfortunate, but, in the short time I’ve been here, I’ve had to assess quickly what we need.
“I think it is in the best interests of both the club and the players involved to find somewhere new.
“I wouldn’t want these players to stay here and stand still. All four have been model professionals who have trained extremely hard and given everything since I have been at the club. I have nothing but the utmost respect for each and everyone.
“However, I do feel we have the make these changes. It is a difficult decision but you have to make tough decisions in football.
“I am still thinking through one or two further decisions but I don’t envisage anything happening for a week or two.”
