Gnakpa would love to return to Luton

UNATTACHED French winger Claude Gnakpa admitted he would love to rejoin Luton, writes Mark Wood.

Gnakpa left the Hatters to join League One Walsall in the summer, but failed to nail down a starting place before moving to Scottish Premier League side Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

He is now currently looking for a new club, but admitted he would love to link up again with Luton at some point.

He said: “A lot of fans ask me whether I would like to come back to Luton.

“Of course, it’s the club of my heart with passionate fans and people working at the club.

“It’s a club I would like to come back to. But there’s not contact between Luton and myself.”

The 28-year-old has already been approached by Blue Square Bet Premier champions Fleetwood Town about joining the Cod Army in the Football League next term as he added: “I spoke to the manager of Fleetwood too, he really liked me and wants me to go to his club.”
