Hatters fall further behind leaders Grimsby

Hatters fell eight points behind league leaders Grimsby Town as they returned to the top of the Blue Square Bet Premier with a 2-0 win over Hyde last night.

It had looked like the Mariners were going to be left frustrated until Andy Cook came off the bench to convert Jamie Devitt’s cross six minutes from time and added a second late on.

With Luton’s home match against Lincoln City postponed, the result means Town are now eight points adrift although they do still have two games in hand.
