JJ looks for Hatters to go out on a high at Southport
And the diminutive O’Donnell is hoping to again get the not for the final game of the season at Southport tomorrow (Saturday), saying: “I want to be involved in every game. Like I said earlier in the season that was my hope to try and be involved in every game of football. Southport will be another good game.
“You could say there’s nothing to play for again, but it’s the last day of the season and you always want to go out on a high. We’ll go there wanting to win and hopefully I will be part of that.”

He was also full of praise for new boy Alex Wall who broke his Hatters duck with a fine brace to sink the Fleet last night.
O’Donnell added: “He’s a top lad. He’s never been in professional football before and it’s taken a toll on his body, but he’s been brilliant. He worked hard every day in training, he’s got a great frame on him, he’s built, he’s strong, he’s quick when he gets going and he can finish as you see tonight.
“The first one maybe he’s just nodded it over with his nose or whatever he’s scored with, but he’s scored and the second one’s a great finish. The lad can strike a ball as well, the fans will get to see how he can strike a football, even from the free-kick he’s caught it but if you ask Tyles (Mark Tyler) and Brillo (Dean Brill) the lad can strike a football.”
