Hatters defender Steve McNulty insists he doesn’t get the credit he deserves for his recent achievements.

The 30-year-old has been a Conference winner twice in the last three years with Fleetwood and now Luton.

McNulty said: “I’m a winner with a massive heart, I’m a humble man, but look at what I’ve done in the past few years playing in the Conference and getting promotion.

“I don’t think I get the credit I deserve, but that’s life, I’ve got big shoulders and I’ll take that.”

McNulty joined Hatters in January last year after he was let go by League Two Fleetwood. He had been a regular under Micky Mellon, but
once he was sacked and ex-Town defender Graham Alexander came in, the Liverpudlian found his chances limited.

On joining Luton, McNulty had found himself in the same position again as Paul Buckle left just a few weeks later, with John Still taking over, but went on to start every game this campaign.
