Palace loan man Inniss looking forward to fight for his place

On-loan Crystal Palace starlet Ryan Inniss is relishing the challenge of fighting for a place in Luton’s defence, writes Mark Wood.

With young defenders Alex Lacey and Andy Parry returning from injury, and the likes of experiences defenders Steve McNulty and Anthony Charles in the squad, Inniss is likely to face real competition for a spot in the team.

But he’s up for the battle, saying: “I think that’s good for me, good for the other players and I think it’s great for the club because strength-in-depth it speaks for itself.”

Having experienced defender Anthony Charles playing alongside him was a big bonus for the youngster at the weekend, as the veteran centre-half helped to talk him through the 2-2 draw at Cambridge United.
