Hatters boss John Still will step up his efforts to bring Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu back to the club after the midfielder completed 90 minutes for West Ham’s development side on Monday, writes Mike Simmonds.

The Town chief had confirmed he wouldn’t be harrassing Hammers until the 20-year-old was fit.

But now he is, Still said: “Terry (Harris) went to look at that game and he played, so it’s something we will start to follow up and see where it leads.”

If Ruddock Mpanzu does return, that will be the only piece of business Still is expecting to do after capturing central defender Fraser Franks from Welling on Friday.
