Wheatie hosts a trio of exciting bands

Local band Broken Lamps will be on from 9pm on tomorrow (Wednesday). They blend indie rock and alternative style music and were formed three years ago.

Friday night will see live music from Milton Keynes based band Spaced Out.

The four-piece band play rock, pop and punk covers and come with a varied set list with music by The Killers, U2 and the Black Eyed Peas.

Spaced out are Simon Timmins on lead vocals and guitar, Dexter Smith on guitar and backing vocals, Alec Connell on bass guitar and backing vocals, Mark Page on drums and Spencer Beaumont and Jools Kendall backing vocals.

On Saturday one of the Wheaties’ favourite bands returns to the North Street venue – The Pistols, the top Sex Pistols tribute band.

From London and formed in 2004, The Pistols do the whole authentic thing. Replicating the raw sounds and sights of the original band from the 1970s, front man Paul even could be mistaken for Jonny Rotten himself.

You can be sure to hear Anarchy in the UK, God Save the Queen, Friggin and Pretty Vacant all mixed in with some raucous banter and plenty of ‘pogoing’ from the audience and perhaps Rotten, Vicious, Cook and Jones will even repeat My Way.

Music on Wednesday starts at 9pm with entertainment on Friday and Saturday starting at 9.30pm. Entrance is free.
